David C. CasagrandeManaging Partner
David Casagrande is one of the managing partners and founders of Varbero Casagrande LLC. Mr. Casagrande’s primary practice areas are commercial litigation and securities law. His experience includes representing clients in federal district and appellate courts, state courts, and alternative forums including disputes before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) and Judicial Arbitration and Mediation (“JAMS”).
Mr. Casagrande has a successful and wide-ranging commercial litigation practice representing individuals and businesses in matters involving partnership disputes, business torts, and commercial breach of contract claims. Prior to entering the legal profession, Mr. Casagrande was a licensed stock broker, where he held a series 7 and 63 license. This invaluable experience has assisted Mr. Casagrande in successfully litigating investment related claims, such as fraud, churning, unsuitability, and breach of fiduciary duty, totaling over $20 million.
Mr. Casagrande earned his Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude, from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law where he was awarded the Order of the Coif. While in law school, he was a clinical student at The Innocence Project, a non-profit organization that assists prisoners who could be proven innocent through DNA testing. There, Mr. Casagrande assisted staff-attorneys litigate in trial and appellate courts across the nation on complex procedural and constitutional issues. During his time there, he assisted on cases that led to three innocent men, who were wrongfully convicted of murder, secure their freedom.
